hey traveled thru Oregon and Washington several years to her father's work and settled in Portland, Oregon when her youngest brother started school. Violet attended Commerce High School graduating with a two year business college degree. She worked for the 13th District Army Engineers Office during WWII. She married Ron Aichholz in Seattle on February 14, 1945. After the war, they came to New Washington where Ron started his business "Ron's Electric" after working for Leon Shell for two years. Violet worked with Ron as Secretary and "go-fer" for the business.
Violet was a very active member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She had been elected District 5 President for two years and was Unit Secretary for 59 years. She joined Crawford County Salon #389 Eight and Forty and held all elective offices being Petit Chapeau and then Pouvoir Member, went thru all elective offices of Departemental being Chapeau Departemental and then Pouvoir Member National. She went thru all electives offices in National and was Chapeau Nationale. Violet attended many La Marches National and Auxiliary National Conventions throughout the United States.
