Marion was a member of All Saints Parish in New Riegel, a former member of the Parish Council and a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters Court No. 52. A lifelong farmer in Seneca County, he was inducted into the Seneca County Agriculture Hall of Fame and was a member of the Seneca County Farm Bureau, the American and Seneca County Jersey Breeders Association and the Seneca County Pork Producers. He was past supervisor for the Seneca County Soil and Water Conservation District, a former 4-H adviser, and a past board of directors member of NOBA and the Young Sires Program. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, woodworking and traveling, and he loved his family and dogs.
