General Notes: Husband - Wilson E BEST
He was a lifelong resident of Tiffin and graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School and Heidelberg College. In 1940, he received a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
He passed the Ohio Bar in 1940 and after practicing law in Tiffin for a brief time, joined the Navy and served in both the Atlantic and Pacific areas until honorably discharged in December 1945.
Wilson then accepted a position as attorney examiner with the Board of Review of the Ohio Bureau of Unemployment Compensation. He retired from this position in 1978.
After retiring, he spent 22 winters in Florida with cruises and extensive trips in the summer. He was an accomplished wood worker and made beautiful furniture for every room in his home. He also made three very large, very beautiful needlepoint pictures.
He was a charter member of the T-Squares and was responsible for naming this local square dancing club. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and for many years the leader of an adult Sunday school class at the church. He was a former member of the University Club and the Tiffin Coin Club. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, a member of the Friends of the Library and the Fellows Club of Heidelberg College.
Wilson enjoyed bowling, square dancing, playing bridge, playing golf and meeting new people.

Dee was a free lance artist who was known for her oil paintings in which she won many awards. She had worked at the laundry mat on Perry Street for many years. She was very spiritual lady and loved the outdoors, especially gardening. Dee was everyone's "favorite" aunt and loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. She always told her family treat others how you want to be treated.
