Received a purple heart and 3 bronze stars in WW II

Mr. Brickner retired in 1982 as a "Car Inspector" for C&O Railroad after 32 years of employment.

He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria; a Life Member of VFW Post 73, Fostoria; a Life Member of Fostoria United Sportsman Club; a member of American Legion Post 73, Fostoria; and a Third Degree Knight of Columbus of Council 1197 in Fostoria.

He attended Jackson-Liberty School and St. Andrew's School in Liberty Township. He was a World War II Army veteran having served in the European Theater where he received a Purple Heart medal and three Bronze Stars.
