In her retirement, she volunteered extensively; at the Mercy College Auxiliary Board, President of Watercrest Homeowners Association, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, United States LST Association, and at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church where she led the funeral lunch program for several years and a host of other activities involving the church.
In 2011, Elizabeth was honored to receive the "Centenary Award for Outstanding Service" by the Catholic Diocese of Toledo.
