General Notes: Husband - Keith Alan MOON
n 1964, Keith graduated from Bishop Hartley High School in Columbus and, in 1968, earned a bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University. He went on to receive his MBA from Xavier University in 1975. A lifelong public servant, Keith was dedicated to helping those in need through his work in human services. He was the director of Health and Human Services in several Ohio counties and served with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services during the first Reagan administration. He went on to become the deputy director of the Ohio Department of Human Services and then continued his career in Aiken, South Carolina, and Belmont, North Carolina, before retiring in 2014.
Keith was a loving husband and father and a doting grandfather. He and Betsy enjoyed 43 years of happy marriage until her death in 2014. Keith's great enthusiasm for his children and grandchildren was evident in all the time he spent traveling from North Carolina to Texas to Virginia to make sure he never missed a birthday, recital or special event. He was so very proud of his family and was always generous with his praise and encouragement.
