ohn was a 1947 graduate of Calvert High School and was a member of the U.S. Air Force from 1948 to 1952. He retired in 1977, as a mechanic from Tiffin Fire Department. He then worked in maintenance at the Betty Jane Center from 1978 to 1991. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, the Eagles, AMVETS, St. Mary and Calvert Boosters and was a volunteer at Mercy Tiffin Hospital and St. Mary Catholic Church. John enjoyed fishing and traveling and was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and Indians and Notre Dame sports.
