John was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria where he was a member of the church choir for 48 years, co-chair of the festival grounds where he volunteered there in many capacities including set up/breakdown and manning the bratwurst stand. He was a graduate of New Riegel High School and worked at Atlas Crankshaft for 30 years and Norton Manufacturing for 17 years.
John enjoyed watching sports, including the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians. He loved wintering with Jeanne in Florida, gardening, spending time outdoors and being an active member of St. Wendelin. One of his greatest memories was the trip he took with the choir to Rome. He will be remembered as a loving husband and a "good guy".
