Mrs. Falter was a 1955 graduate of Calvert High School, Tiffin. Carolyn was a loving homemaker, an amazing cook, and an accomplished artist. She dedicated her life to her family, setting the example of what it means to love and care for others. She shared a love of watching Cleveland Indians baseball and Notre Dame football with her husband and hosted unmatched Fighting Irish tailgaters for over 30 years.
She was an impeccable, classic decorator and loved hosting family holiday gatherings including Christmas, Easter, and 4th of July (her birthday). Carolyn was a devout lifelong Catholic, most recently a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, and Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Boca Grande, Florida.

ecilia was a 60-year member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Riegel, was a member of its Altar Rosary Society and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin the past eight years.
She attended a one-room country school in Springville and Carey, and as a young lady, she helped her father and brothers on a 245-acre farm between Arcadia and Findlay. After her marriage to George, she continued to farm, milking cows for more than 33 years and never missing a milking. She raised chickens, hogs and her favorite, lambs. She considered herself a farmer as she worked in the fields.
Her proudest accomplishment was cutting 80 acres of corn with a one-row binder and a team of horses. She planted a large garden for many years, canning and freezing her own fruits and vegetables for her family, and enjoyed entering and winning many awards for her canned goods and vegetable displays at local county fairs. She assisted her husband George for many years butchering for neighbors and friends around the New Riegel, Bascom and Tiffin area.
Cecilia was a member of McCutchenville Grange for more than 65 years, holding several offices during that time. She was a member of Allen Eiry Senior Center, where she had a great time playing euchre, and was a 4-H member as a young girl.
She enjoyed quilting and was known for her pies and especially for her potato salad, which was requested by many people in the area.
In addition to her farming and being a homemaker, she showed her true compassion and love for people as a caregiver for her father and brother-in-law. Her greatest enjoyment was being around people. She never met a stranger. Anyone who met her walked away with fond memories of a sweet and caring person.
